· REAR COVER: Famed railroad artist Arch McDonnell created this portrait of Concord, N.H. during a different era, thirty years earlier, when passenger trains of all sorts headed out from the magnificent trainshed in all different directions. In this well-loved winter scene, a Montreal flyer is on the outermost station track to the left, ready to head up the BC&M line to its Canadian Pacific connection. In the middle, a White River Jct. train has just arrived from Boston with P-3-a 3709, while, on the right, a Claremont Branch train is all set for its run through Mogul Country with B-15 1441.
