Alan G. Dustin

The final president of an independent Boston & Maine, Mr. Dustin helped the B&M recover after the 1970 bankruptcy through effective leadership. He led the way to rehabilitate B&M infrastructure and equipment, improve service, shed money-losing operations, and repair the B&M’s reputation. Mr. Dustin was also a great supporter of the B&MRRHS and a longtime member; during his time with the B&M, many collaborations and donations to the Society’s archives were made.
