The Boston & Maine Railroad Historical Society is pleased to again have Carl Byron offer a presentation for the society. His two part program will show 1) A chase of the American Freedom Train along the B&M Fitchburg Division in April 1975, and 2) Shelburne Falls, Ma. during the era when both the NYNH&H RR and the Shelburne Falls & Colraine Railway (interurban) both operated into that picturesque Berkshire County village. Carl grew up near Shelburne Falls and has authored rail related books and articles about (among other topics) western Massachusetts and the storied Fitchburg Div. Meeting location is Rogers Hall on Rogers St. in Lowell, Ma. Free parking is available across the street. A variety of B&M clothing items, DVDs, books and magazines will be on sale during the meeting.
